From September, the new Ingenium engines will lead the Land Rover Discovery

Land Rover Buyers will get the new Discovery with new Ingenium engines. These new diesel engines are the same which are used in the Jaguar models. The Land Rover Discovery Sport will be available with the new 2.0-litre 4-cylinder Ingenium diesel engines from September.

There will be two options available, you can opt for a 148bhp engine which cranks a hefty torque of 280 lb-ft, delivers 57.7 mpg and emits 129g/km. The next option is a 178bhp Ingenium engine which cranks 424 lb-ft of torque, delivers 53.3 mpg of fuel economy and 139g/km of carbon emissions. These engines will replace the existing diesel engines used in the Land Rover models.

The Ingenium powered Land Rover Discovery Sport TD4 150ps will be designed as an E-Capable vehicle. It offers Blue Sport badging which shows the most efficient vehicle in the range. The new model will be sold with the 18-inch wheels and low rolling resistance tyres.

It will be the only Range Rover with 5-seats. All other versions are sold in a seven seat arrangement and the E-Capability will be offered on the new models only. A six speed manual gearbox will be available as standard. The 178bhp models will give you a choice of a six-speed manual and or a nine-speed manual.

Ingenium engines do not require service until 21,000 miles, however, the present models are bared at 16,000 miles for service intervals. Prices are starting from £30,695. A black HSE edition has been added to the line-up, adding privacy glass and visual enhancements to the standard HSE space car.
