Audi Changes the Game with New LED Headlamps on A7 Facelift

Audi A7 Sportback

The battle between three automotive giants and close rivals is still on and each of these three – Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Audi claims to change the game, let’s see how

Three of world’s biggest auto manufacturers – Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz – are battling for the top crown and apparently Audi somehow managed to keep things more practical and reasonably priced. Recently, the Audi A7 has been revealed with a new facelift on this five-door coupe. The most wonderful cosmetic change is the all-new LED headlamps standard on A7, with Matrix anti-glare technology available as an option.

The BMW 6 Series on the other hand offers adaptive LED headlamps in £1,787 and if you opt for LED fog lamps, you need to pay £171 extra. The interesting factor is that the Audi A7 starts at £42,246 whereas the BMW 6 Series will cost you £56,869 and that’s a huge difference.

The Audi A7 Sportback symbolises the elegance in style and prestige, so having LED headlamps as standard on A7 is something long anticipated and having the Matrix LED as an option is even better. Last year when the A8 flagship saloon received a facelift, the world saw the Matrix LED for the first time. A7 has a smaller cluster than the A8, so Audi had to re-design these lamps to fit in these specifications and they are now more elegant.

Now-a-days, when you talk about headlamps, they don’t just symbolise the illumination systems, they give your car a kind of premium feel. The sculptural elements of the design are gravely considered by Audi and they offer perfectly straight lines with parallel geometric shapes.
