Honda Civic MK10 is Around the Corner and it is Made in the UK

Like other automakers, Honda is also coming to the Geneva Motor Show 2016 with its all new MK10 Honda Civic hatchback concept car. The official images of the MK10 have leaked online and we have managed to fetch some details for you before they actually happen.

Honda Civic Concept or Production Version

Like many Honda concepts, it’s likely this Honda Civic will be more production focused and the shape is also similar to the stylish Civic Coupe. It has same distinctive rear lights and sporty sharp lines.

The Rivals of the Civic

Ford Focus and the Volkswagen Golf have achieved the fame in previous years that Honda failed to achieve. It will be more efficient, roomy and muscular with class leading technologies and safety features. All in all, it will built in the UK.

The UK Production Facility

New Honda Civic to be built in the UK at Swindon production facility. Honda is injecting more than £200million into the Swindon production facility to facilitate the production of British-builtCivic.

At the Swindon plant, the production of Civic will continue and the CR-V will be moved to Ontario production facility in Canada.

Honda Civic Engines

The all new Honda Civic will use two new direct injection VTEC turbo engines where a 1.5-litre four cylinder engine of 201bhp and 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine with 127bhp. This new Honda Civic engines line-up will replace the current 1.8-litre engines. There is a new choice of transmissions offered on the Civic where six-speed CVT and manual transmissions will lead the new Civic.

A bigger 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine could replace the current engine line-up and set to form the foundation for next Civic Type R. this all new Honda Civic will go on sale in the UK from 2017.
